Dolmen of Serrinha
The Dolmen of Serrinha, located to the West of the junction of Ribeira de Almuro and Ribeira Grande, is one of the large megalithic monuments that currently exist in the Monforte municipality and was classified as Property of Public Interest in 2012.
This funerary monument comprises a chamber with a polygonal plan, three preserved granite pillars and a corridor. The architectural features and the materials collected in this dolmen chronologically place it in the Late Neolithic/Chalcolithic (3500 – 2000 B.C.); it was reused as a funerary site in the First Iron Age (6th-4th century B.C.).

Prepare your visit
Anta da Serrinha is located near EN 243, between Monforte and Fronteira. You must cross a wooden gate and a fence and then walk to the site.
Guided tours are possible when booked in advance but depend on technical availability for the required date. Contact the Archaeology Service of the Monforte City Council (Phone: 245578060).
